📏 Piercing Size Guide
Choosing the correct size for your body jewellery is important for comfort, healing, and aesthetics. This guide will help you find the right fit based on gauge, length, and diameter.
🔹 1. Gauge (Thickness)
The gauge refers to the thickness of the jewellery post. The lower the number, the thicker the jewellery:
| 20G (0.8 mm) | Nostrils |
| 18G (1.0 mm) | Earlobes, Nostrils |
| 16G (1.2 mm) | Cartilage, Lip, Eyebrow |
| 14G (1.6 mm) | Navel, Tongue, Industrials |
| 12G–10G (2.0–2.4 mm) | Stretched / thicker piercings |
🔹 2. Length
Measured as the wearable part of straight barbells, labrets and flatbacks. Choose based on anatomy and swelling:
| 6 mm | Snug fits, healed piercings |
| 8 mm | Standard size for many areas |
| 10 mm | Initial swelling, larger anatomy |
🔹 3. Diameter
Used for circular jewellery such as hoops or rings. It’s the measurement across the internal opening:
| 6 mm | Snug cartilage, nostrils |
| 8 mm | Helix, Daith, Septum |
| 10 mm | Lobes, larger placements |
🔹 4. Downsizing
After your piercing has healed, it may be beneficial to switch to a smaller length or snugger fit. This reduces movement, improves comfort and helps with long-term healing. Always consult with a professional piercer before downsizing.
🔹 5. Materials we use
| ✨ Implant-grade Titanium (ASTM F-136) | Lightweight, hypoallergenic — recommended for initial piercings |
| ✨ Surgical Steel (316L) | Durable, corrosion-resistant — ideal for healed piercings |
